Chuck eye is one of those underrated steaks that deserves more attention.
Often called the “poor man’s ribeye,” the chuck eye comes from close to the rib section, which gives it rich beef flavor, solid marbling, and a tender bite when cooked right.
These steaks are cut 1.25 inches thick and come two per pack, making them a great choice when you want a steak with serious beef flavor and ribeye-style character.
Because of the thickness and marbling, these steaks do especially well with a reverse sear method before finishing over high heat or in a cast iron skillet for the final crust.
